At some of the most stunning beaches Minnesota has to offer, ideal for families, maternity, couples, or child portraits. Dress up, play in the water - or do both! Contact us if you would like to add an earlier time for young children.

Whether you're documenting this summer or simply want refreshed portraits in golden light, these sessions are designed to be relaxed, natural, and gorgeous.

Each session includes my signature child portraits, lifestyle photography, and traditional family poses. For the golden hour light be sure to look at the later sessions.

With decades of photography experience, I ensure sessions are fun and efficient. Kids love the freedom to explore, parents love that it doesn't take too long! We'll create a large gallery of images for you to select from after the session.

How Payment Works:

  • All inclusive pricing

  • No additional purchase is required after your session but additional images, prints, and artwork will be available to purchase in the gallery store.

Timing for the Best Light:

  • All sessions are held during the hours before sunset to take advantage of the softer evening light. It’s quite late during the summer so please reach out for a golden hour session.

  • With the later sunset the earlier sessions will be brighter but we can photograph in certain to accommodate and in some images we'll embrace the brighter light.

  • Want that stunning golden hour light? Reach out to book a golden-hour session.

After the session, you'll receive a private online gallery, to select and download your favorites included in your package, with the option to purchase additional photos, prints, and gifts. Images come with print and social media release, in high resolution.

Session prep:

  • After booking you'll receive a session confirmation and a session prep guide.

  • A session reminder will be sent a few days before your session.

  • The day before your session I'll email you with where exactly to meet at the location.

Pets:

  • 🐶 Dogs are welcome! We love having the family dog(s) join in family photos.

Gallery Delivery:

  • Your private gallery of retouched images will be available within two weeks, ready for selection and download.

  • 🎉 Take advantage of the early bird offer in your gallery email for additional photos and products within the first two days of gallery delivery.

MINI SESSION FAQ

The most frequently asked questions about our mini sessions!

  • We have a generous cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend the session, it may be rescheduled, based on availability, or kept as a credit to use towards any other session.

  • The only time we cancel a mini session is if it’s actively raining or the temperature is dangerously cold. In either case, we keep an eye on the weather and will offer several rescheduling options.

  • Yes! We love having the family dogs at sessions. Please check with us to ensure they’re allowed, but most of the locations we use permit dogs.

    TIP: Arrive early and let your dog get familiar and sniff around well before the session. Also, tire your dog out before the session!

  • Usually, children do pretty well at these sessions because they’re low-stress, and I love working with kids and making them feel welcome.

    Please follow the advice of no pressure on children. Don’t ask them to smile or continually repeat directions that I give. Trust the process! I may ask parents to step out of eyesight briefly. There are lots of tricks!

    Even with fussy children, I can almost always still get some great photos.

  • We do not provide raw files or unedited images. The gallery will be culled down to 25-35 images. All will be retouched. You can select and download the quantity included in your package, and there is an option to purchase additional photos.

  • Your image gallery will be delivered within two weeks of your session.
