What should we wear?
Every session includes a comprehensive prep guide with wardrobe tips, styling advice, and inspiration. Lisa is happy to assist with wardrobe selection. The studio offers a curated collection of maternity gowns, wraps, and fabrics, as well as a few select dresses for girls (sizes 2-5). For newborn sessions, everything needed is provided. For babies, the studio has outfits in 3-month, 6-month, and 9-month sizes.

What is included in the session?
Each session includes a consultation and session time. Most sessions are retainer to book, which includes a credit towards purchase from the session. Purchases can be made à la carte or by selecting one of three preset packages, which most clients choose. Occasionally, all-inclusive sessions or limited-time mini sessions are offered.
How far ahead should a session be scheduled?
Maternity sessions:
The best time for a maternity session is at 7-8 months (28-34 weeks). If booked two or more months ahead, we can plan additional wardrobe options in the studio. Once the belly has popped but before it gets swollen.
Newborn sessions:
It is best to pre-book 3-5 months in advance. We do accept last-minute bookings if there’s availability, but it’s best to have time to plan the session. We will schedule the session for 7-14 days after your due date. When booked ahead, I guarantee your session even if the delivery date changes. Just let me know within 48 hours of delivery, and we will reschedule as needed.
Family sessions:
To get the best light and date for a family session, please book as early as possible. Fall dates often start booking in April! Aside from Fall specials, I only offer 1-2 weekend sessions per month, so they are very limited.
How long is a photo session?
There is typically no hard stop on photo sessions.
A newborn session lasts 2-3 hours, depending on feedings and whether siblings are in the photos.
A maternity session is 1-2 hours, also depending on breaks and the number of outfits.
A baby or child session is 30-60 minutes. Shorter is plenty of time, and longer is fun if they’re up for it! The exception is the mini session, where we must stick to the allotted time.
What happens after the photo session?
You’ll receive a link to your online gallery and the options to schedule a Zoom gallery review, 10–14 days after your session.
Once selections are made, images are retouched and delivered in a private online gallery. You’ll have long-term access and be able to download your files. Delivery timelines vary by product.
What payment methods are offered?
We accept all major credit cards. All available payment methods are presented at checkout. Please contact us for a payment plan.
Is there a charge for rescheduling?
We generally do not charge for rescheduling if notice is given. I understand that things happen, and I do my very best to accommodate. Newborn sessions are booked in advance, and there is no fee to reschedule after the baby is born to a more appropriate or preferred date.
Do you offer discounts or mini-sessions?
Yes! Specials and mini sessions are offered a few times a year. Be sure to join the newsletter to be the first to know, and click here to see current offerings.
Do you retouch baby acne?
Yes. Standard retouching includes baby acne and skin smoothing. Advanced edits (e.g., head swaps, outfit wrinkles) may incur an additional fee. More details are provided in your prep guide.
Can I have the RAW/original files?
RAW files and unedited images are not included but may be purchased along with all rights for a fee per image. Lisa will ensure your images are fully polished and retouched to reflect her signature style.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome! Lisa’s own Golden Retriever often makes an appearance in the studio. Please give your pet time to adjust to the space.
Do you offer hair & makeup?
Yes! Hair and makeup are done in the studio and included with headshot, maternity, and newborn sessions as long as they are booked with enough notice to schedule the services.
During newborn sessions, the baby is photographed first so mom can relax and be pampered before family and parent portraits.
Studio Hours
• Studio sessions are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
• Weekend sessions may be available for a $200 fee.
• Evening appointments are not available, except for outdoor family sessions scheduled before sunset.
• In-home or extended family sessions are offered on a limited basis—please inquire for availability.
Health & Safety
The studio follows strict health and safety protocols to protect all clients, especially newborns and young children. If anyone in your household is sick or has been exposed to COVID-19, please reach out to reschedule. There is never a rescheduling fee due to illness. Masks are available and worn upon request.
