Outdoor Lifestyle Family or Studio Photo Session.
The outdoor session is a client favorite and one of the things I’m known best for, so I recommend adding a studio session and doing both!
The outdoor photo locations are beautiful, and the kids enjoy the process, creating a wonderful memory that you and the kids are reminded of when looking at your wall portraits or albums.
While a 90-minute session may sound daunting, it is a lot of fun and goes by too fast! I have yet to have children who didn’t enjoy the session. We will choose a location (I have many to suggest) that offers a wonderful variety of backdrops for your images and allows children to run around. Time after time, the kids look forward to coming back for their next session.

Those dates are booked early, and there are only a handful available in the fall. The outdoor lifestyle family sessions are offered from May through October in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. For the last two years, fall colors have been in late September and early October, and I’ve been able to offer them until about October 15th.
We will create a wide variety of images, and most clients create an album or wall art from their photo shoot. I offer custom wall art mock-ups on photos of your interior walls to ensure you select the right size, frames, etc.
After booking, we’ll select a location and finalize the start time, and I’ll send you a session prep guide so that you know what to expect and have answers to many questions. I like to have at least one session planning call to discuss wardrobe options and any other details. I am always available to answer questions and advise on wardrobe.
The studio session is generally shorter and is posed photography. We’ll photograph the family as a group and create heirloom family portraits. Then we’ll photograph each individual and other pairings (kids together, each parent with children, etc.) My studio child portraits are my most often requested portraits!
PRICING
Please get in touch with the studio for detailed pricing. While there is no minimum purchase, most clients invest $1200 or more in a full-length session. We do offer some mini versions of our sessions.

Extended Family Photo Sessions
I offer just a few extended family sessions each year. Often, they are mid-summer when the children and grandchildren are visiting; sometimes, it’s the day after Christmas! Please be sure to reach out right away to book, as they do go quickly. You can choose from the full experience, which is a “day in the life of” your extended family and includes 4-6 hours of coverage at your home. The other option is an extended family outdoor portrait session at a location that we select together.
The Extended Family session requires a $1200 retainer to book your photo session. Packages start at $2,900 (the retainer will be applied to the purchase from your session).
