Mother’s Day and Spring Mini Sessions

Each year is a wonderful tour of the Twin Cities and the suburbs' parks and gardens. This spring, we've chosen Longfellow Gardens, Lake Harriet Lyndale Gardens, and Arneson Acres.

Are you an early bird like me? Let's do a sunrise session. Just reach out!

With decades of experience in photography, I am very patient with children! The locations are chosen for beautiful photography and to let kids explore and play, making the session fun and memorable for them. Let’s create a gallery of images you’ll cherish! 💖 My #1 piece of advice for parents is not to ask children to smile. It causes kids to look away from the camera, and we miss those genuine giggles and smiles.

After the session, you'll receive a private online gallery featuring 20-30 images. Select your favorites and choose to purchase additional photos, prints, and gifts.

Whether you're a returning client or new to my seasonal minis/specials, I look forward to making this a cherished annual tradition!

Locations:

  • Arneson Acres - greenery, tall formal trees, low colorful gardens, and a fountain

  • Lyndale Gardens at Lake Harriet - more natural on one side, fromal and colorful on the rose garden side. Lots of variety. Large cherry blossom tree.

  • Longfellow Gardens - lush gardens (early season), stone paths, fountain.

MINI SESSION FAQ

The most frequently asked questions about our mini sessions!

  • We have a generous cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend the session, it may be rescheduled, based on availability, or kept as a credit to use towards any other session.

  • The only time we cancel a mini session is if it’s actively raining or the temperature is dangerously cold. In either case, we keep an eye on the weather and will offer several rescheduling options.

  • Yes! We love having the family dogs at sessions. Please check with us to ensure they’re allowed, but most of the locations we use permit dogs.

    TIP: Arrive early and let your dog get familiar and sniff around well before the session. Also, tire your dog out before the session!

  • Usually, children do pretty well at these sessions because they’re low-stress, and I love working with kids and making them feel welcome.

    Please follow the advice of no pressure on children. Don’t ask them to smile or continually repeat directions that I give. Trust the process! I may ask parents to step out of eyesight briefly. There are lots of tricks!

    Even with fussy children, I can almost always still get some great photos.

  • We do not provide raw files or unedited images. The gallery will be culled down to 25-35 images. All will be retouched. You can select and download the quantity included in your package, and there is an option to purchase additional photos.

  • Your image gallery will be delivered within two weeks of your session.
