I've been photographing Twin Cities families for over a decade, and mini sessions are still one of my my favorite thing to offer. Short enough to keep kids happy. Long enough to fill a gallery you'll actually love. And I love seeing the families that come back each year, and see the kids growing up!
I offer sessions in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding Twin Cities metro, including Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Maple Grove, Blaine, and Bloomington.

Offered in May in Minneapolis and suburbsMinnesota has no shortage of beautiful lakes and beaches, and summer sessions are the most relaxed and playful of the year. Kids run, everyone laughs, and the evening light is unreal.
Los Angeles oceanfront beach sessions are done early in the morning or at sunset.
Offered June-August in Minneapolis. July-August in Los Angeles.
Fall colors in Minnesota are spectacular, and these sessions book up faster than any other time of year. Crisp air, gorgeous light, and holiday cards ready by November.
Sessions take place at beautiful parks and outdoor locations across the Twin Cities metro and suburbs.

Our 8th year at Krueger's Christmas Tree Farm in Lake Elmo. One of the most popular sessions sells out every year. Morning and late afternoon slots only; no midday bookings. Snow is added ot the photos as it’s too cold to shoot after the snow falls.

Holiday Studio Family Photos
Offered in the studio in Minneapolis every November with beautiful holiday backdrops. We will photograph the whole family plus children’s portraits. WE’ll make sure you have beautiful family photos and get those holiday cards out on time! Online holiday card with addressing is available,
Offered in November - dates TBDThis isn't a mall Santa. This is a magical experience with Santa Claus. The sessions are short and sweet, a little time is added with add-ons like the magical Santa Bag. We use a Christmas backdrop in the studio. Images are selected right after the session or choose to have a private online gallery to review later.

I've been photographing Twin Cities families for over a decade, and I've built these sessions around what actually works for real families — including kids who don't cooperate, toddlers who melt down, and parents who haven't been in a photo in three years.

No-stress experience. I guide the whole session. You don't need to know how to pose or what to do — that's my job.
Wardrobe help. Every booking includes a prep guide, and I'm happy to advise on outfits before you arrive.
Images you'll actually use. Every photo is carefully retouched. No dark, blurry, or throwaway images in your gallery.
Long-term gallery access. Your online gallery stays open so you can download, reorder, or share whenever you want — not on a 30-day countdown.
Flexible scheduling. Sessions can be rescheduled at no charge with reasonable notice.
MINI SESSION FAQ
The most frequently asked questions about our mini sessions!

We have a generous cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend the session, it may be rescheduled, based on availability, or kept as a credit to use towards any other session.

The only time we cancel a mini session is if it’s actively raining or the temperature is dangerously cold. In either case, we keep an eye on the weather and will offer several rescheduling options.

Yes! We love having the family dogs at sessions. Please check with us to ensure they’re allowed, but most of the locations we use permit dogs.
TIP: Arrive early and let your dog get familiar and sniff around well before the session. Also, tire your dog out before the session!

Usually, children do pretty well at these sessions because they’re low-stress, and I love working with kids and making them feel welcome.
Please follow the advice of no pressure on children. Don’t ask them to smile or continually repeat directions that I give. Trust the process! I may ask parents to step out of eyesight briefly. There are lots of tricks!
Even with fussy children, I can almost always still get some great photos.

We do not provide raw files or unedited images. The gallery will be culled down to 25-35 images. All will be retouched. You can select and download the quantity included in your package, and there is an option to purchase additional photos.
