A few times a year I pack my bags and head somewhere stunning to photograph families and expecting mamas in settings that feel completely different from anything you can get at home. This July, I'm in Los Angeles for one week only, with very limited availability.

Whether you've been dreaming of a dramatic Malibu cliff session at sunset, soft morning light on a quiet stretch of coast, or something in between, we'll find the perfect location together. I have a curated list of favorite spots across the LA coastline and I'm always open to a location that's meaningful to you.

Los Angeles Beach Family Photos

From young kids to multigenerational groups, beach sessions are genuinely fun. Sand and waves do half the work, kids love the freedom, and the images end up feeling effortless because everyone is actually having a good time. We'll capture the whole group together plus smaller groupings, siblings, couples, and individual portraits. Dogs always welcome.

Los Angeles Beach Maternity Photography

A maternity session on the California coast is something else entirely. We'll collaborate on styling and wardrobe ahead of time, and I'll share resources for gown rentals if you want to go dramatic. Hair and makeup is highly recommended. Partners, kids, and dogs are all welcome. And yes, if you want to end the session in the water at golden hour, we can absolutely do that.

Malibu Beach Photo Sessions: Morning or Evening

Sessions are available in the hour after sunrise or the two hours before sunset. Morning sessions are quieter, softer, and a little more serene. Evening sessions give you that warm, glowing, cinematic light LA is famous for. When you book, we'll talk through which timing makes the most sense for your family and your vision.

Booking Your LA Beach Session

After you book, you'll get a welcome email with your client portal, a session prep guide, and a short questionnaire so I can start getting to know your family before we even meet. I'll be in touch personally to confirm your location and answer any questions. A planning Zoom is always an option if you want to talk through details.

Your private online gallery arrives 1-2 weeks after your session. That's where you'll make your selections and purchases. Gallery review Zooms are available if you'd like a hand with that part.

We'll select your location together based on your session type, the time of day, and what you're hoping the images feel like. I have trusted spots along the Malibu coast, including El Matador Beach, Leo Carrillo, Zuma, and others, and I'm always happy to scout something new that has meaning to your family.
