Read this once before your session and you'll walk in feeling completely prepared. I promise it's worth the few minutes.

Hair & Makeup
Wrinkles are one of the hardest things to fix in retouching. Please bring your clothing on hangers and check them before you leave home.

Session Day
If you're a woman, plan to arrive 60 minutes before your session start time for hair and makeup — that's included, no extra charge. Grab a coffee, relax, and enjoy the process. Another client will likely be wrapping up while you're in the chair, so you'll get a preview of what to expect before we even start shooting.
Once you're in your first look, we'll get going. The actual shoot is about 30 minutes. It goes fast, but we make the most of it.
Men, just come in at your session time and we'll get straight to it.
Bring options — more is always better. The only real rule: you have to love it. If you feel off in something, it shows in the images. Bring pieces that make you feel sharp and like yourself.
Keep it simple
Minimal jewelry. Simple necklaces work well. When in doubt, bring it along and we'll decide together.
Women: Makeup is not required, but it's highly recommended and it's included. Our artist applies it specifically for the lighting we use, starting fresh and natural. We'll adjust as the shoot progresses depending on the look you're going for. If you prefer something heavier out of the gate, just say so.
Come in with your hair the way you'd want it on a great hair day. Our artist will make sure it's camera-ready and we'll talk through your vision at the start of the session.
Men: We keep it simple with a bit of shine-reducing powder, light grooming if needed. Our retouching handles most skin concerns, so there's nothing to stress about there. Ask us about grooming add-ons if you'd like something more specific.
One thing that matters more than people expect: hydrate well and use a lip moisturizer for a few days before your session. And if you're getting a haircut, do it at least 4 days out — not the day before.
Right after we wrap, we'll sit down together and go through everything we kept. We'll narrow it down, talk through expressions, what retouching can and can't do, and make sure you're walking away with a range of images that actually work for you — not just one great one.
Once you've made your final selections, the images go to our retoucher. You'll have them delivered within one week of your session date.
If you don’t have time to review right after your session we can offer a private online gallery or a Zoom gallery review with Lisa. The additional fee is $50
