I've been photographing Twin Cities families for over a decade, and mini sessions are still one of my my favorite thing to offer. Short enough to keep kids happy. Long enough to fill a gallery you'll actually love. And I love seeing the families that come back each year, and see the kids growing up!
I offer sessions in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding Twin Cities metro, including Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Maple Grove, Blaine, and Bloomington.

Spring Family Photos

Summer Beach & Lake Family Photos
Minnesota has no shortage of beautiful lakes and beaches, and summer sessions are the most relaxed and playful of the year. Kids run, everyone laughs, and the evening light is unreal.
Los Angeles oceanfront beach sessions are done early in the morning or at sunset.
Offered June-August in Minneapolis. July-August in Los Angeles.
Fall Family Photos
Fall colors in Minnesota are spectacular, and these sessions book up faster than any other time of year. Crisp air, gorgeous light, and holiday cards ready by November.
Sessions take place at beautiful parks and outdoor locations across the Twin Cities metro and suburbs.

Tree Farm Family Photos
Our 8th year at Krueger's Christmas Tree Farm in Lake Elmo. One of the most popular sessions sells out every year. Morning and late afternoon slots only; no midday bookings. Snow is added ot the photos as it’s too cold to shoot after the snow falls.

Holiday Studio Family Photos
Offered in the studio in Minneapolis every November with beautiful holiday backdrops. We will photograph the whole family plus children’s portraits. WE’ll make sure you have beautiful family photos and get those holiday cards out on time! Online holiday card with addressing is available,

This isn't a mall Santa. This is a magical experience with Santa Claus. The sessions are short and sweet, a little time is added with add-ons like the magical Santa Bag. We use a Christmas backdrop in the studio. Images are selected right after the session or choose to have a private online gallery to review later.

I've been photographing Twin Cities families for over a decade, and I've built these sessions around what actually works for real families — including kids who don't cooperate, toddlers who melt down, and parents who haven't been in a photo in three years.

No-stress experience. I guide the whole session. You don't need to know how to pose or what to do — that's my job.
Wardrobe help. Every booking includes a prep guide, and I'm happy to advise on outfits before you arrive.
Images you'll actually use. Every photo is carefully retouched. No dark, blurry, or throwaway images in your gallery.
Long-term gallery access. Your online gallery stays open so you can download, reorder, or share whenever you want — not on a 30-day countdown.
Flexible scheduling. Sessions can be rescheduled at no charge with reasonable notice.

Most sessions run 15-20 minutes. They're designed to be efficient with enough time for a beautiful gallery but short enough to keep kids happy. With many years of experience this is enough time for me to create a beautiful gallery for you.

I offer easy online booking - no back and forth emails! Rescheduling is also available at no charge (some limitations apply). There is a main booking page and a booking link for each mini session type.

Every mini session includes some digital images. They are usually offered in three tiers with increasing number of images included. Your gallery will have 20-30 images for most session types. Additional images may be purchased from within your gallery but the best deal is in choosing a larger package at booking.

Locations vary by session type. Outdoor sessions take place at parks, beaches, gardens, arboretums, and nature preserves. The Tree Farm sessions are at Krueger's Christmas Tree Farm in Lake Elmo. Indoor/studio sessions take place at my studio in NE Minneapolis.

Sessions typically take place unless there is rain or severe cold weather. I schedule mini sessions with alternate dates available. If we have to reschedule due to weather we will work with you to find a date that works. Refunds are not offered due to inclement weather.

Your online gallery is delivered within 2-3 weeks. You'll choose your favorites from a full proof gallery. Holiday and other deadlines are kept in mind when scheduling mini sessions and when delivering galleries.

Yes! Many families bring their pets to outdoor sessions. Please let me know in your booking questionnaire so I can plan accordingly. I recommend arriving early so your dog(s) can acclimate and get some energy out before the session.
