From booking through delivery of images and products.
BOOKING YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
Whether you're booking a newborn, maternity, child, or family photo shoot, I recommend booking in advance. It gives me more time to prepare and think about the session theme and styling. Plus, you will have more options for the date and time for your photo shoot.
To book a session, please either purchase a session online, and we will reach out to discuss the details of your session and schedule the date and time or contact the studio to learn more and check availability. I will respond the same day and can communicate via email or find it best to have a quick call. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about the process and pricing and look at availability for your photo session. A retainer is required to book a session. While the retainer is not refundable, it may be applied to a different session date if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Newborns are best photographed 7-14 days old, but many newborns are photographed as old as six weeks without any issues creating a full gallery.

Session Preparation
Before your photo session, I’ll send out a brief questionnaire to better understand what you are looking for from the session and, most importantly, everyone’s names! Often, we’ll have a quick call to review wardrobe or color preferences. For outdoor sessions, we’ll discuss location options and again answer any questions so that you arrive feeling prepared and knowing what to expect.
You’ll also receive a prep guide so that you know exactly what to expect and how to prepare for your sessions. Lisa is available for phone consultations about style, wardrobe, and location and to answer any questions.
AFTER THE SESSION
Every session receives a private online viewing gallery to select images included in the session or to purchase images and products. Within one week after the session, the gallery is delivered. Special packages are usually offered for the first two days after gallery delivery; this helps keep our editing on track! Once selections/purchases are completed, expect retouching to be done in 5-10 business days. If products like wall art or albums were purchased, you will also receive the proof for approval. Once approved, the artwork is sent to the lab. Delivery times vary based on the product and will be communicated to you at the time.

Scheduling
Scheduling appointments is handled over the telephone or via a booking link. We suggest photographing newborns within the first two weeks of birth, and those sessions are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. For babies over two weeks, I recommend the session start at 12:00 p.m. We do photograph many babies older than two weeks but recommend 7-14 days when possible. Newborn appointments should be scheduled before delivery or within 24-48 hours of giving birth.
Cancellation
If you cancel your session, the amount paid will be held as a credit that can be used anytime. The dollar value does not expire.
Clothing and props
Clothing and fabrics are available for Maternity, newborns, babies, and toddler girls. We have everything needed for newborn sessions, so you don’t need to bring anything. For maternity, our studio has several gowns and silk fabrics. Some clothing options are available for young children. Please call to discuss what is available. You are welcome to change clothes during the session. Please look at our Pinterest page for wardrobe inspiration. Safety
All newborn and child sessions are baby-led, and poses are never forced. Generally, babies are calm or asleep. If the baby is fussy, we stop, feed, console, or do whatever is necessary to soothe them. In the rare instance that the baby cannot settle, we can reschedule the session.
Background
Our studio has various background options. We will discuss your color preferences before your session, and you can change or select a preferred background on session day.
Hair and Makeup
It is recommended that hair and makeup be done before your session. Please see the prep guide for more details.
Payments
Session fees/retainers and mini-session fees are paid in full at the time of booking. All orders made after the session must be paid for at the time of ordering. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, checks, ACH, Afterpay (fee applies), and cash.
Ordering products and images
We have a full product catalog of prints, albums, fine art canvases, frames, and other items. Most of our ordering is done in private online galleries, or we can schedule an in-person ordering appointment to discuss product ordering.
Unedited images and RAW images are never sold or given out. We can only guarantee the quality of items produced through the studio.
