We’ll work together to style your session and select the looks from glamorous to casual – usually both. Whether you want a petite session to document the moment or a full-length session with numerous looks, we have an option that will work for you. Often, women don’t feel so beautiful during pregnancy; trust me to pose and light you in a way that will create stunning images that you’ll love. Children adore seeing photos of their mama pregnant with them on the walls of their homes as part of their birth story.
The studio has a dressing room and a comfortable seating area for your partner and family. If you have little ones, we'd like to suggest they join for part of the session. However, consider having your spouse, partner, friend, or family member take them to the nearby library for the bulk of the session so you can fully relax and focus on this special experience.
When to do a pregnancy photo session
The ideal time for your maternity session is during your 7th to 8th month of pregnancy (between 28 and 36 weeks). By then, your belly has popped a bit, but you haven't reached the stage of feeling overly swollen. The further ahead your photo session is booked, the more we can customize and plan the style and outfits for your session.
Styling
We highly recommend having hair and makeup done to boost your confidence and add that extra touch of glamour. We’re happy to assist with wardrobe, including using our dresses and fabrics, send you links to vendors and rental websites, and guide you through poses that will show off your pregnancy in flattering, stunning imagery.

A session prep guide so you can arrive feeling prepared and knowing what to expect from start to finish.
Use of studio gowns and fabrics.
Family portraits

A private online gallery to make selections and purchases from your session.
An optional virtual ordering session with Lisa.
Custom wall art mock and album design if requested
We’ll talk before your session to plan the look and wardrobe. During your photo session, Lisa will guide you through posing, so please don’t worry about knowing how to pose!
Pricing

What to Expect
Every session is unique, but my goal is always the same: to make your experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free from beginning to end. You'll receive clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and timely responses throughout. All details—including pricing—are shared upfront, so you can book with confidence.

We’ll start with a quick phone or Zoom call so I can learn more about your goals and vision for the session. I’ll walk you through how everything works, answer any questions, and go over pricing and artwork options. There's no pressure—just a relaxed conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Once you're ready to move forward, you’ll pay a retainer to secure your session date. I’ll guide you through the next steps and make sure everything is clearly laid out, so you can feel confident and excited for what’s ahead.

You’ll receive a session prep guide that covers everything—from what to wear and what to bring, to what to expect on the day of your session. You’ll also receive a detailed product and pricing guide so you can begin planning (and dreaming!) about how you’ll display your beautiful images.

Whether in my Minneapolis photo studio or on location, your session is designed to be relaxed and stress-free. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you never have to wonder what to do. We'll create a variety of images—from classic portraits to more natural moments—so you have a rich gallery to choose from.

After your session, you’ll receive a link to schedule your Zoom gallery review, which will take place 7–14 days after your session.
During the gallery review, I’ll walk you through your images and help you select your favorite ones. We’ll also review product and package options for your final purchase and show mockups of albums, wall art, and other keepsakes.

Once you purchase your selections, I’ll deliver your images through a private online gallery. From there, you’ll be able to download your files and enjoy long-term access.
Any products you’ve selected will be created and ordered at this time—delivery timelines vary depending on the item.

Our PROCESS

I do love the initial consultation. It's a quick call/Zoom and a nice way to meet when choosing a photographer.
Sessions start at $650 including the photo session and digital files. We also offer beautiful products like albums, prints, wall art, and gifts.
The consult is the best way for Lisa to share all the session details and to understand your needs and goals from the photo session.

After the consultation we will send you a proposal to walk you through an easy online booking process.
After booking you will receive a brief questionnaire, a session prep guide, and a link to your online portal where you can access invoices, emails, and prep guides.

In the studio, we have everything needed for your newborn and toddler sessions and many silks and dresses for your maternity session. We can have a call to plan your session and Lisa can advise on wardrobe.

I highly recommend that Mom has hair and makeup done for the session. Whether you go on your own or bring your stylist into the studio. For newborn sessions, Mom can be pampered and prep for family photos while we photograph the baby.

The day of the photo session should be fun and stress-free! Leading up you will have been given everything you need to prepare. Newborn sessions are baby-led so we take breaks as needed.

Within 10 days of your session your proofing gallery will be ready. Choose to have a gallery review and ordering session with Lisa via Zoom or view & select your images in an online private gallery.
Digital image packages start at $650, there is no session fee, most clients invest $1500 or more. We also offer only the finest albums, prints, wall art, and other products.

Digital images will be retouched and available to download within two weeks of ordering. Any products ordered will be delivered to your home. Your private online gallery is available long term so you can download and share anytime!
