Studio sessions and outdoor lifestyle sessions

Our outdoor lifestyle family photo sessions are more than just a photoshoot—they’re an experience that your family will remember fondly for years.

The Experience

Outdoor family photo sessions are held at some of the most beautiful locations in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs, offering a variety of stunning backdrops. The sessions are fun and relaxed, allowing children to run around and enjoy the natural surroundings, often resulting in genuine smiles and joyful expressions. The 90-minute session may sound lengthy, but it goes by quickly as everyone gets into the flow of the experience. Even the most camera-shy children end up having a great time!

Creating Heirloom Albums

Many clients choose to create a custom heirloom album from their outdoor lifestyle sessions. These albums are carefully curated to tell your family's story, capturing the love, laughter, and unique dynamics that make your family special. Due to the detailed planning and effort that goes into these sessions, availability is limited, so booking in advance is highly recommended. While it is highly recommended, it is not required to purchase printed items from your session—we do offer digital-only sessions!

Signature Close-Up Child Portraits

One of the highlights of my outdoor and studio sessions is my signature close-up child portraits. These stunning and emotive portraits capture each child's personality and are cherished by my family session clients.

What to Expect

Every family photography session with Lisa Poseley Photography is designed to be enjoyable and stress-free. Here’s what you can expect:

  • We’ll select the perfect location and finalize session details. I have many preferred locations, or we can discuss a custom location for your family, at your home, or another desired location. You’ll receive a session prep guide with tips on what to wear and how to prepare.

  • After booking, you’ll receive a session prep guide, and I’m always available for a consultation to discuss wardrobe options and any other specifics.

  • On the day of the session, we’ll focus on capturing a variety of images—group shots, individual portraits, and candid moments. Outdoor sessions allow kids to move freely and enjoy the process, while studio sessions provide a more controlled environment for creating timeless portraits.

  • After the session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can select and purchase images from your session. I’m happy to meet in person or via Zoom to review your gallery together, select images, and help with any wall art, album, and other artwork.

  • If you are planning wall art for your home, I offer the complimentary service of mocking up the artwork on images of your home to scale.

Extended Family Sessions

We offer a very limited number of extended family sessions. Please contact the studio for availability.

Pricing

Sessions begin at $1,490. Every session is tailored to your vision, styling preferences, and artwork goals. I’d love to hear more about what you’re looking for—please use the link below to schedule your complimentary consultation.

We occasionally offer seasonal specials and petite sessions; feel free to reach out for current availability.

What to Expect

Every session is unique, but my goal is always the same: to make your experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free from beginning to end. You'll receive clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and timely responses throughout. All details—including pricing—are shared upfront, so you can book with confidence.

  • We’ll start with a quick phone or Zoom call so I can learn more about your goals and vision for the session. I’ll walk you through how everything works, answer any questions, and go over pricing and artwork options. There's no pressure—just a relaxed conversation to see if we're a good fit.

  • Once you're ready to move forward, you’ll pay a retainer to secure your session date. I’ll guide you through the next steps and make sure everything is clearly laid out, so you can feel confident and excited for what’s ahead.

  • You’ll receive a session prep guide that covers everything—from what to wear and what to bring, to what to expect on the day of your session. You’ll also receive a detailed product and pricing guide so you can begin planning (and dreaming!) about how you’ll display your beautiful images.

  • Whether in my Minneapolis photo studio or on location, your session is designed to be relaxed and stress-free. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you never have to wonder what to do. We'll create a variety of images—from classic portraits to more natural moments—so you have a rich gallery to choose from.

  • After your session, you’ll receive a link to schedule your Zoom gallery review, which will take place 7–14 days after your session.

    During the gallery review, I’ll walk you through your images and help you select your favorite ones. We’ll also review product and package options for your final purchase and show mockups of albums, wall art, and other keepsakes.

  • Once you purchase your selections, I’ll deliver your images through a private online gallery. From there, you’ll be able to download your files and enjoy long-term access.

    Any products you’ve selected will be created and ordered at this time—delivery timelines vary depending on the item.
