We’ll work together to style your session and select looks that range from glamorous to casual – usually both. Whether you're looking for a petite session to capture the moment or a full-length session with multiple looks, we have an option that will suit you. Often, women don’t feel their most beautiful during pregnancy; trust me to pose and light you in a way that'll create stunning images you’ll love. Children adore seeing photos of their mama pregnant with them on the walls of their homes as part of their birth story.

We believe that seamless styling is key to a beautiful maternity session. During our personalized consultation, we'll talk about your vision, including ideal backdrops and wardrobe options, making sure your session reflects your unique style. A comprehensive prep guide will be sent to you after booking, detailing everything from what to wear to how to prepare. I am always available to review your selections and chat with you leading up to your session, ensuring you feel completely confident and prepared.
For your session, please ensure that your hair and makeup are done before your arrival to look and feel your absolute best.
You're welcome to bring a special item or family heirloom to incorporate into the session. If you have a partner or other children participating, that is something we can discuss to address it effectively. Timing
The ideal time to photograph your maternity session is typically between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy (generally during your seventh or eighth month), when your baby bump is beautifully prominent and you feel comfortable. For optimal results, we recommend booking your session in your second trimester. Maternity photo sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, allowing time for wardrobe changes, rest, and ensuring your comfort throughout. Time passes quickly, and it's a lovely and memorable experience.
Styling & Session Prep
While many clients are drawn to my signature style and ask me to design their sessions, I’m happy to have a call to plan the styling with you ahead of time. When you arrive at your newborn photoshoot, we'll review the selections and make any necessary adjustments.
After booking, you'll receive a prep guide that includes tips on what to wear. I'm always happy to assist with wardrobe questions and am available to help at any time.
You’re welcome to bring a special item or family heirloom to incorporate into the session. If you have a rainbow baby or another significant experience to share in the session, that is something we can plan to discuss on how to address it best.
After Your Session
Within ten days after your maternity photography session, we will review your gallery of images via Zoom. This is where you'll see your retouched images for the first time and select your favorites, choosing between digital images, artwork, or a combination of both to build your collection. Purchased digital images are delivered within one week via your private online gallery with long-term access.
We'll review the timing of delivery for any purchased images/artwork during this meeting. For albums, you can expect an album proof within one week with the opportunity to make changes.
Your purchased images will be accessible with long-term gallery access, as well as access to our professional print store and card designer, allowing you to order additional prints and custom cards directly from the manufacturer whenever you wish.

We’ll discuss the look and wardrobe before your session to plan accordingly. During your photo session, Lisa will guide you through posing, so please don’t worry about knowing how to pose!
